Egar or worried you may screw up an online interview? Don't worry, I have you covered! The past couple of days have been busy, I got the privilege to speak with Shemroy Parkinson, Andrew Johnson, and Deepa Prashad, interviewing them over various video chatting software for my Radio Seminar assignment. Assuming you have already got the person in question for your interview, it's now all about getting through it as swiftly as possible.

Start with a well put together outfit. It's all about being comfortable and maximizing that in every possible way. Now im not saying to go put on some PJs with comfy slippers as you still need to dress professionally for your interview. Find an outfit that is a perfect balance of who you are while looking your best. Once you feel great, it's time to test and make sure your equipment is in working order. Test your microphone, webcam, and maybe your recording software if you choose to film the interview all in advance to avoid a problem during your interview as the last thing you want to deal with is technical difficulties, it can show the type of person you are to your interviewee without even saying a word. Now that that's sorted, make sure as a side note, your research and know your interviewee more than they know themself as the worst thing that can come up is completely calling out or complimenting them on something they have not done and it also makes your end look a lot more unprofessional so take that extra step even if you may be a fan and feel like you know them. Last but not least, rehearse rehearse rehurse! For all the questions you plan to ask, rehearse how you would say them and refine your lines as much as possible so when you do get to the interview, you can rest assured that you have nothing to worry about and you can focus on giving your interviewee your best foot forward

Overall, its okay to feel the nerves coming into an interview as we are all human but there are ways to feel alot better and thats by giving yourself confidence. from the outfit you wear to practicing what things you want to ask or mention, the little things go a long way. now get out there and start interviewing!
